Description
The service industries in China has been the fastest growing part of its economy in the past few years, especially after the 17th NCCPC. As an objective for the transformation and upgrading of China’s foreign trade, expanding trade in service is of far-reaching crucial significance for stimulating the growth in service consumption, enhancing national soft power, improving the quality of enterprises and national quality, and achieving the fast yet steady growth of the national economy.
The ministry of Commerce first published the China Trade in Service Report in 2006. In order to step the research on the development strategy for world trade in service, thus facilitating a full range analysis and assessment of China’s trade in service, and to provide the authorities in charge of trade in service, businesses and research organizations with authoritative and reliable data, experts and scholars concerned prepared the China Trade in Service Report 2007, under the sponsorship of Ministry of Commerce. This report provides information and statistics in industries such as financial, informaton, medical, advertisement, communication and transportation, education, legal and travel services. The import and export data in the service sectors are also provided in the book.
